The Auburn Knights Orchestra has been “swinging for nearly 90 years” with a unique blend of classic swing and modern jazz. If you’re an Auburn University student or hopeful incoming Auburn University student, now could be your time to join the band. Other area musicians are sometimes selected as well, but the student-led organization is focused on keeping this campus tradition alive and thriving.
The band rehearses on the Auburn University campus on Sunday nights from 6 to 8 pm. Candidates should be proficient at reading music, sight-reading, and preferably have some improvisational skills and experience with jazz and swing. The audition and interview process will cover these areas.
