My family and I would like to think the AKAA family for all the thougths and prayers during this time. Grandaddy, or Charlie to everyone else loved the Knights and considered them apart of his family as well. He has been brining me since I was 5 years old and I have such great memories. It has been great for the last 6 years being able to bring my daughter and my brother bring hos sons to listen to Grandaddy play. Sugar Blues was always the highlight. Grandaddy loved you all and I know him and Gammy are dancing a tune togther up in heaven. Hope to see you all at this years reunion. Grandaddy wouldnt have it any other way.

The words “Thank You” are not adequate to express how our family feels about the Auburn Knights. The love, support, prayers, calls, and caring that everyone gave us during daddy’s visitation and funeral was awesome. Every time I looked up, there was an Auburn Knight there to hold us up. I know I will leave someone out, but I have to express our gratitude to Mike Lyle, Gil Jennings who came to daddy’s house shortly after we arrived from Louisiana. Then Nat Michelson, my high school friend, and Ryan who came all the way from Miami. We were so honored that Ryan played Sugar Blues and Going Home for daddy at the funeral. Steve Means who so graciously spoke about daddy during the service. Mike, Gil, Nat, and Ryan were there for us for three days, and they were our rock. We could not have made it without them. I met so many more Auburn Knights, all so special to daddy. Thank you to everybody that loved us, myself, Larry my husband, Clay, Dawn, and Isabella, and Greg. You have truly given so much to our family, and most of all to Charlie, our dad, grandfather, and great grandfather. Our boys started coming to the reunion when they were 2, and now their children are coming. There isn’t anything my daddy loved more than his Auburn Knights and playing his trumpet, and I know this is what gave him his 93 years. Thank you for letting us be a part of the Auburn family and for being so good to daddy. War Eagle. And, oh by the way, I woke up this morning hearing daddy playing Sugar Blues for mama. They are together again and I know they are so happy. Love to all, LindaAnn Bozeman, Larry, Clay, Dawn, Isabella, and Greg Fowler, and Greg’s boys, Waylon and Wyatt.
